About The Position

Quantum Space is redefining mobility and maneuverability in space. Our high-mobility spacecraft platforms support national security, civil, and commercial missions with unmatched flexibility and propulsion capability. We build fast and iterate quickly. We are seeking an Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) Manager to lead spacecraft integration and test execution for national security space and missile defense systems. This role owns integration flow, test readiness, and execution discipline to ensure hardware is built correctly and performs as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in spacecraft or satellite integration, test, and operations.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware testing and assembly for complex aerospace systems.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python for test automation and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of performance, mission simulation, and fault management testing.
  • Knowledge of environmental testing (TVAC, vibration, acoustic, EMI/EMC).
  • Experience with data acquisition systems (DAQ) and interpreting test results.
  • Proven hardware/software troubleshooting and anomaly resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce clear procedures and reports.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience with subsystems such as C&DH avionics, EPS, GN&C, or RF payloads.
  • Familiarity with HWIL test equipment.
  • Experience with standards such as MIL-STD-810 or NASA-STD-8739.
  • Experience with configuration management and requirements verification tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integration and test schedules, plans, and procedures, including environmental, functional, and performance testing.
  • Lead and support hands-on integration and test campaigns for flight hardware and software.
  • Direct technicians and coordinate with subsystem and systems engineering teams during I&T activities.
  • Analyze test data and telemetry to verify functionality and performance against requirements.
  • Generate detailed test reports and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software anomalies; lead root cause analysis efforts.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
  • Support launch campaigns and on-site testing activities.
  • Operate electrical and mechanical ground support equipment (EGSE and MGSE) for testing.
