About The Position

We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Leader to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the production of USV’s, lean manufacturing processes. You will bring vessel manufacturing with leadership experience to lead a team and ensure industry leading quality is achieved through application of the engineered systems, contributing directly to the creation of high-quality, innovative USV’s. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing Supervisor, Team Leader or Manager role.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including assembly diagrams.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and other manufacturing management practices.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work safely.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Confident computer skills to use Microsoft solutions and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 5-10+ years of experience in boat manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership: This is a working leader role that on the floor producing USV’s with the team every day. As a leader, you will ensure that the safety, quality, delivery and productivity objectives are met while also supporting and developing your team.
  • Ensure performance reviews, and all other applicable HR policies and procedures are followed and performed with excellence.
  • Create a mission minded culture with focus on 100% performance for safety, quality and delivery to our customers.
  • Safety: Personally lead by example by adhering to all safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety of you and your team.
  • Ensure proper PPE, tools, equipment, and material handling equipment is used correctly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
  • Be an active safety committee member, leading safety improvements and training.
  • Manage all material handling and chemical storage processes.
  • Manage and maintain all critical equipment or tools, including systems for testing the vessel systems and controls.
  • Plan and prepare the daily manufacturing for harness assembly and installation, hull system assembly, and deck assembly, final vessel assembly and testing. The highest industry standards for vessel assembly will be employed.
  • Quality / Continuous Improvement Conduct in-process quality checks and visual inspections of sub-assemblies, harnesses, vessels in process and finished products to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
  • Complete ISPC (In-Station Process Control) sheets to record critical process steps and capture critical to quality, critical to safety and productivity results.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, malfunctions, or quality issues to manager or manufacturing engineers.
  • Be a part of new model design reviews and prototyping of new products and processes.
  • Lead team meetings and contribute to discussions aimed at improving processes, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Adhere to all company quality procedures.
