About The Position

Performs duties with minimal supervision while operating various machinery to produce a variety of materials. • Plan daily work from schedule. • Work from prints, process specification sheets and instructions. • Set up and adjust machinery for operation. • Load and operate machinery to produce product. • Make required adjustment to machinery to correct deviations and assure proper operation. • Visually inspect completed product, taking measurements as required to ensure quality of product. • Place completed product in designated location. • Troubleshoot and do minor repairs on own machinery. • Prepare required paperwork and reports. • Notify supervisor of equipment or operating difficulties. • Use hand tools and basic measuring instruments. Operate forklift and hand-truck. • Follow safety rules and keep work area clean and orderly. • Perform a variety of work, using knowledge of electrical, water, air, and hydraulic, with supervision, as needed. • Perform a variety of schedule machinery testing and documentation. • Use hand and power tools, drill press, saw, grinder and Oxy-Fuel cutting process. • Operate forklift and man lift. • Ability to work overtime. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to plan daily work from schedule.
  • Ability to load and operate machinery in area.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and process specifications.
  • Ability to use electronic equipment for data entry.
  • Good eye-hand coordination, ability to visually inspect product.
  • Clothing and shoes must comply with current MIOSHA regulations and current dress code policy.
  • Ability to work overtime, as requested.
