We have an opportunity for an Assembly Operator Lead to join our White Bear Lake, MN team. You will be responsible for ensuring the production flow in assigned work areas and processes. Performs initial troubleshooting identification and resolution. Responsible for coaching, on-the-job training, equipment escalation, materials coordination, line communication, work assignments, 5S audits, and safety inspections. This position works closely with Production Management, Engineering, Human Resources, Purchasing, Quality, Machine Shop, R&D, Engineering, and the Warehouse Departments. You will: Conducts start-up meetings which include leading stretches, conducting safety talks, issuing daily work assignments, and providing SQDCC updates during Gemba review Provides support to the Production Supervisor and reports any performance/attendance concerns as applicable Maintains accurate hour by hour charts and updates MDI board daily at end of shift Properly escalates equipment failure, Material issues to appropriate personnel Drives a continuous improvement culture through employee engagement Enforce company policies and department best practices Operates as variety of equipment applicable within the assigned work area and backfills roles to maintain flow (i.e. CRTs, pallet jacks, production equipment, etc.) Coordinates employee training to ensure all quality and customer requirements are met Works with key stakeholders (i.e. VSM, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality, EH&S, etc.) on improving internal procedures, documentation, and training through deployment of the lean methodology using RCCM documentation process Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a production lead with strong knowledge of assigned production processes, GMPs, lean principles, Kaizen, and 5S.
  • Ability to lead and support production teams through clear communication, coaching, monitoring performance, enforcing policies, and maintaining continuous production.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving skills to support productivity, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and comprehend English, follow detailed assembly instructions, and train operators on standard work.
  • Proficiency with computers and the Microsoft Office Suite; ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Demonstrated reliability, adaptability, and safety awareness, including compliance with safety policies, punctual attendance, physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Steel-toed footwear is required.
