About The Position

Under limited supervision, this position is responsible to assemble electronic components into chassis and printed circuit board assemblies. Must be able to handle a fast paced environment with a high volume of workload. Train in all aspects to work toward successful certification of operation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with hand tools and assembly operations preferred.
  • Good English skills, able to read, write and speak clearly.
  • Ability to pass eye exam with a minimum 20/20 vision that may be corrected via eyeglasses or contact lenses as required. Eye exam is required annually.
  • Good computer skills, including working knowledge of Windows, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to understand printed circuit board assembly including reading assembly drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and written work instructions.
  • Ability to work up to 10 hours a day, 5 days a week and is flexible to work weekends if necessary.
  • Availability to work extra hours at the company’s request is mandatory.
  • Ability to work or come into contact with chemical or biological agents which may pose health or safety hazards if improperly handled.
  • Good reading vision; must be able to lift 25 lbs, able to sit/stand for up to 10 hours at a time.
  • Ability to pass eye exam with a minimum 20/20 vision that may be corrected via eyeglasses or contact lenses as required. Eye exam is required annually.
  • Ability and willingness to cross train in other areas.
  • Ability to work efficiently with little supervision.
  • Ability to perform routine tasks.
  • Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Work with pneumatic, electric and hand tools.
  • Install electronic components into various chassis circuit board assemblies according to the documentation provided.
  • Mix chemicals according to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Apply epoxy and coatings using dispensing equipment.
  • Visually check work in process for defects and makes adjustments as required.
  • Comprehend and follow instructions, read and understand blueprints.
  • Communicate regularly to supervisor/managers; suggests procedural changes
  • Work effectively and responsibly with others.
  • Attends meetings, attends special training, maintains a clean, safe work environment and communicates to supervisors safety hazards and issues.
  • Cross train in other areas.
  • All other assigned duties as required within the production organization.
