About The Position

Wastequip is looking to hire Assembly Operators for our TOTER location in Statesville, NC. This will be a 3rd shift role. The Assembly Operator safely performs secondary operations to product, including trimming, labeling, flame treating, assembly work, and quality checks at a desired output rate. 2nd shift: Monday to Friday: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM Pay rate: $17.00/HR plus shift differential

Requirements

• 18 years or older.
• Be able to work on your feet for long periods of time.
• Able to lift between 25-50 lbs.
• Be able to pass EHS training.

Nice To Haves

• Warehouse experience is a plus.
• Previous Assembly experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute secondary operations per instruction on production orders including but not limited to trimming labeling, flame treating, assembly work and verifying everything on the order is completed to satisfaction.
• Stacking cans that can be up to 29 lbs.
• Quality inspection of the product for correct color, holes and any other product defects that may occur.
• Effectively communicate with Operators and other co-workers regarding work orders and problems which may occur with quality and mold issues.
• Accurately complete production paperwork as may be required.
• Wear all the required personal protective equipment.
• Keep work area maintained per safety standards.
• Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned by the supervisor/manager.
• The functions named below include having to push carts to the flaming station.
• Lifting cans to dump extra shavings and stack.
• Bending to put on stop bars, labels, lids, and wheels.
• Pushing stacks of 10 cans to designated areas.
• Maintain floor area clean by sweeping throughout the shift.
