About The Position

The Asset Administrator – will be responsible for overseeing property-related financial and administrative functions, including real estate taxes, assessments, asset data management, and property documentation across a multi-location portfolio. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and strategic oversight of property records while partnering closely with Finance, Real Estate, Operations, and external vendors to support cost control and data integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years of experience in asset management, property tax administration, real estate accounting, or property management
  • Advanced data management and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and property/asset management systems or ERP platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex data sets
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage real estate tax administration across all properties, including tracking, review, payment coordination, and appeals
  • Review property tax assessments and partner with internal teams or third-party consultants on assessment challenges and corrections
  • Monitor tax deadlines, exemptions, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Analyze tax trends and assessment data to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date property and asset records, including valuations, tax IDs, parcel data, and ownership information
  • Administer asset and property databases, ensuring data integrity and consistency across systems
  • Support reporting and data requests related to property performance, tax exposure, and asset valuation
  • Partner with Finance on depreciation, capitalization, and asset classification
  • Coordinate with property managers, landlords, and vendors regarding property documentation and compliance requirements
  • Support lease administration by tracking key property-related data points and supporting audits or reviews
  • Assist with onboarding new properties, remodels, or dispositions from a data and tax perspective
  • Collaborate with Operations and Facilities to ensure accurate property records reflect current use and condition
  • Prepare and maintain regular reporting related to property taxes, assessments, and asset data
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain SOPs related to property tax administration, data governance, and reporting standards
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
