About The Position

The Asset Management Consultant role at Lincoln is a key field-facing position that will directly support our financial professionals and staff as they serve their clients with asset management. Candidates for this role must have a deep understanding of the advisor's experience as well as knowledge of all products and platforms available through Lincoln Investment. This consultative, relationship-driven position involves leveraging your expertise in investment strategies and sales to help Lincoln financial professionals identify professionally managed solution opportunities for appropriate clients, both proactively and reactively. You will be responsible for providing guidance on investment strategies, product/program guidelines, and tailored solutions through both outbound and inbound consultations, while also contributing to business plans and leading sales campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65 (or Series 66) required.
  • MS Office Suite experience including Word, Excel, Outlook email & calendar, PowerPoint. Comfortable preparing and helping to deliver presentations to advisors and business leaders.
  • Demonstrated sales and coaching experience, or experience as a financial advisor or internal wholesaler.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional designations in the financial services industry are not required but always encouraged. CFP, CRPC, ChFC, APMA and or CIMA (desired).
  • Deep understanding of managed account and advisory platforms (desired).

Responsibilities

  • Work proactively with financial professionals to help identify areas of opportunity for growth in their asset management business. This will involve:
  • Contributing to the advisors understanding and execution of top line growth strategies to organically grow their practice.
  • Consult with branches and offices throughout Lincoln’s advisor network to identify areas within the practice to better leverage available products and services.
  • Conduct analysis of existing practices to help identify opportunities for growth or to better leverage available products and resources. This will involve working closely with RVPs and field leadership to address priorities within each region.
  • Highlight the business benefits and advantages of using Lincoln specific programs like Premier Asset Management and PPM.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Lincoln’s core technology platforms including Wove and NetX as well as Lincoln proprietary programs like Account Central, AdvisorLinc, and FP Connect.
  • Participate and support advisor training programs that are hosted by our Learning and Development team. This will include group and one-on-one training sessions. You will also act as part of our “triage training” team which responds to field requests when specific, more urgent training or instruction is needed in the field.
  • Proactively conduct outbound calls to financial professionals.
  • Work with financial professionals to identify potential opportunities and present Premier Asset Management, Select Manager Strategists and PPM solutions that align with their clients’ needs.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the full spectrum of Premier Asset Management (IM&R) and Select Manager strategies and associated fees to effectively communicate their benefits to advisors.
  • Work with IM&R to evaluate and propose solutions for complex needs.
  • Provide ongoing education and support to advisors, addressing questions about professionally managed accounts, client or strategy investment performance, and issues that may arise.
  • Participate in sales and marketing initiatives to promote Premier Asset Management, Select Manager Strategists and PPM, conducting educational sessions for advisors, and providing ongoing training on product features and updates.
  • Ensure a high level of advisor satisfaction by responding to inbound calls and emails from financial professionals
