About The Position

The Vulcan Asset Management (VAM) Lead Administrator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the VAM system within their division. This role ensures that system data, processes, and standards are properly maintained and consistently followed across all sites. The Lead Administrator plays a key role in driving system accuracy, data governance, and adherence to asset management policies while supporting day-to-day operational excellence. Responsibilities include overseeing work order processes, maintaining equipment rebuild and critical spare part records, and ensuring preventive maintenance (PM) services and contractor work are documented within the system. Acting as the primary divisional sponsor for the VAM rollout, this position serves as the main liaison between plant teams, the VAM Regional System Manager, and the Enterprise VAM team to ensure successful implementation and sustained adoption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent years working in asset management systems will be considered.
  • Experience in asset management, maintenance systems administration, or related field within a construction materials or industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), CMMS or ERP systems (e.g., Oracle EAM), including setup, data management, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of asset management principles, data governance, and maintenance workflow processes.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning, work order management, and parts inventory processes.
  • Proficiency in managing large datasets, ensuring accuracy, and enforcing system standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Knowledge of heavy fixed and mobile equipment, including crushing, screening, and material handling assets.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve system or process issues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of partnering with plant, maintenance, and IT teams.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to deliver training and promote best practices across teams.
  • Position requires knowledge and awareness of site hazards. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment including but not limited to hard hats, steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
  • Use of telephone, computers, cell phones and other electronic devices is essential.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the Vulcan Asset Management (VAM) system for the division, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and governance requirements.
  • Serve as the primary sponsor for VAM rollout across the division, leading adoption, standardization, and training efforts.
  • Provide first-line support to users within the division, resolving issues and coordinating with enterprise support as needed.
  • Develop and deliver training and communication materials to plant and maintenance personnel to strengthen system utilization and compliance.
  • Monitor and enforce day-to-day data governance, ensuring clean, accurate, and actionable data within the division.
  • Ensure system data and processes are properly maintained, validated, and consistent across all plant locations.
  • Oversee the work order process, ensuring timely creation, management, and closure with accurate supporting data.
  • Maintain records for equipment rebuilds, preventive maintenance, and critical spare part inventory to support operational reliability.
  • Ensure PM services, work orders, and outside contractor labor are properly executed, tracked, and documented within the VAM system.
  • Analyze system reports and data trends to identify process improvement opportunities and ensure system performance.
  • Collaborate with the VAM Regional System Manager and VAM Enterprise Analyst to identify system enhancements and communicate divisional needs.
  • Participate in VAM meetings and governance reviews, representing divisional perspectives and ensuring feedback loops to corporate teams.
  • Maintain and Monitor Oil Sample Systems to ensure data accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
