Assistant/Associate Director, Summer Camps

About The Position

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. At least 5 years related work experience in a day or residential camp setting with experience working in a supervisory role. Must have a valid Driver’s license. Understanding of the developmental needs of children in a camp environment. Ability to regularly lift and/or move 25 pounds of equipment and supplies and work full days outdoors in the summer. Strong organizational skills and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced, interactive environment. Ability to participate in camp activities that may include jumping, playing, and stopping to talk with small children. Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as a team leader and member. Available for all consecutive days during the entire duration of the summer program Ability to work extended hours including some weekends, as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience planning medium to large scale events preferred. Experience as a camper in a day or residential camp.
