Dunham College of Business Job Title: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Management Department: Department of Management, Marketing, and Business Position Summary: Houston Christian University seeks candidates in Management for the Archie W. Dunham College of Business. Candidates must be available to begin work on campus in Houston in August 2026. Requirements

  • Candidates must have an earned PhD or DBA from an AACSB- or ACBSP-accredited university in Management or a closely related business discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to candidates that have experience with ACBSP accreditation.
  • Professional and corporate experience within the candidates discipline or in a related field will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • HCUs primary mission is teaching.
  • Courses are delivered in face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
  • The successful candidate will be a strong and active academic contributor for the full scope of management curriculum, with an emphasis on graduate level curriculum to support the MBA and PBMA programs.
  • Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to teaching, scholarly research and publication activities, advising, maintaining office hours, recruitment and retention activities, committee service, professional outreach activities, ACBSP accreditation support, and active engagement in the campus community.
  • Teaching responsibilities will be at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • The teaching load for the DCOB is seven (7) courses per academic year (Fall & Spring), and the primary modality of teaching is face-to-face.
  • Some online instruction is possible.
  • The selected candidate will also perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide excellent teaching to undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of delivery formats
  • Actively integrate the Christian faith in teaching
  • Actively engage in scholarly work in their related discipline
  • Engage in various service activities to the College, University, and community.
