This role partners closely with the Branch Manager to coach and develop staff, ensure smooth operational performance, and build strong relationships with members and the community. WORK DETAILS 900 E. 23rd Avenue Hutchinson, KS Must be available from 7:45 a.m. - 5:45 p.m. Monday - Thursday, 7:45 a.m. - 6:15 p.m. Friday. Some Saturday's required from 8:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum of three to five years of experience as a Teller at a full-service financial institution.
Previous leadership experience helpful.
Basic understanding of credit union operations, including opening and closing accounts, loans products, IRAs, safe deposit box process, and certificate procedures..
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills.
Well organized and attentive to detail
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to handle conflict.
Willingness to assist others.
Able to operate related computer applications and PC.
Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Flexible and open to change.
Valid driver's license.
Stationary for extended periods of time. Moves up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.

Responsibilities

Assists Branch Manager with day-to-day branch operations.
Supports all branch operations including teller duties, processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances.
Identifies and resolves staffing problems to ensure members have minimal wait times.
Ensures all branch operations are conducted in accordance with established HCU policies and with legal, security and regulatory requirements. Implements changes to established policies and procedures within the branch.
Continually seeks ways to improve branch operations and to meet established goals.
Ensures branches appearance meets brand standards as set forth by the marketing department
Ensures proper maintenance and general housekeeping of the building, grounds, work areas, desks, and equipment is carried out, including snow and ice removal.
Oversees adequate supplies, forms, and equipment
Maintains knowledge of credit union products and services.
Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
Provides superior service to our members and staff.
Pro-actively supports and advances HCU's brand and culture platform.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
