Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters in Accounting
  • 7+ years relevant accounting experience
  • Clear written and oral communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills and team contributor
  • Extensive Microsoft Office proficiency, most notably Excel
  • Responsible and Dependable
  • Organized, Adaptable, Pro-Active & Efficient
  • Ability to easily and quickly adapt to changing project demands and needs
  • Self-starter, able to identify problem areas and brainstorm and present recommended solutions
  • Exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, MBA or other professional designation preferred
  • System Integration / Implementation experience strongly preferred
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • Experience in the automotive industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month end close process, helping decrease the number of days to close. Analyze the GL to ensure completeness of reporting each month and help direct the accounting team in identifying and correcting errors.
  • Assist the Controller in recording/reviewing payroll entries and other sensitive transactions.
  • Help ensure account reconciliations are completed timely. Assist in strengthening internal controls.
  • Supervise the accounting team, including evaluating employee performance and providing real-time coaching.
  • Play a central role in the coordination of internal and external audits, turning results into actionable insights and robust controls that safeguard the organization's financial health.
  • Investigate discrepancies and implement procedures to remedy incorrect transactions.
  • Support additional corporate business needs (as needed).
