Rhodes College is accepting applications for two Assistant Directors of Annual Giving. To be considered for an opportunity, applicants must meet the job requirements for one of the two positions listed. Both roles are responsible for procuring annual, restricted, and deferred gifts to the College in accordance with the department’s goals. The a ssistant d irector with more experience will build and foster relationships with donors and will coordinate the phonathon program, the Red and Black Society Campaign, the Friends Campaign, lapsed donors, and a peer-to-multiple-peer solicitation strategy. The second assistant director will build and foster relationships with alumni, parents, and grandparents. Assistant Director (for the Annual Fund Phonathon Program, and other fundraising responsibilities ) Job Responsibilities: Oversee the solicitation of donors giving between $2,500-$9,999. This will include working with volunteers, paper and digital solicitation, personal solicitation, and stewardship. Coordinate the Annual Fund Phonathon Program, including training and managing student engagement officers, drafting language, and managing timelines. Support student employees in outreach and follow-up methods including telephone, text, and video messaging. Collect performance data and analyze, make project modifications based on outcomes. Work with alumni volunteers to coordinate efforts to leverage their personal relationships to encourage 5-10 of their peers to give and engage with the college. Develop and implement strategies to reengage and solicit lapsed donors. Solicit donations from friends of the college to the Annual Fund. Cultivate and solicit through face-to-face meeting at least 125 prospective donors annually Serve on the One Day Challenge leadership teams for Athletic and Annual Fund challenges. Help the Rhodes Annual Fund reach participation and dollar goals, as well as the overall advancement of Rhodes development and alumni engagement efforts, including staffing alumni functions. Other duties and campaigns, as assigned Extensive travel at times to make face-to-face visits. Occasional weekend and evening work . Assistant Director (for alumni, parents, grandparents , and other fundraising responsibilities ) Job Responsibilities: Work with alumni volunteers to coordinate efforts to leverage their personal relationships to encourage 5-10 of their peers to give and engage with the college. Digitally engage with an assigned pool of individuals through email, text, and Zoom to engage with them in the life of the college. Plan and lead an alumni giving campaign with a focus on cultivation and solicitation of alumni 1 1 -20 years from the date of graduation. Oversee the solicitation of grandparents of current students and alumni. This will include working with a volunteer, paper or digital solicitation, and stewardship. Coordinate efforts for alumni who will be celebrating their reunion, to include both planning the celebratory events and a coordinated fundraising campaign. This will involve recruiting, managing, and stewarding volunteers, event coordination and staffing, and multi-channel marketing efforts. Serve on the One Day Challenge leadership teams for both the Athletic and Annual Fund challenges. Cultivate and solicit through face-to-face meeting at least 125 prospective donors annually.
