Assistant Director of Nursing, Hospice

In this role, you’ll partner closely with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary care team to support nurses, strengthen care delivery, and ensure every patient is treated with dignity and respect. You’ll be a steady presence — for your team and for the families we serve.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- At least 1 year of hospice or palliative care experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in healthcare
- Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and standards
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative, steady leadership style rooted in compassion
Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Nursing in overseeing hospice nursing operations
- Ensure compliance with hospice regulations and quality standards
- Guide the development and execution of individualized patient care plans
- Mentor, support, and supervise nursing staff
- Foster open communication through regular staff meetings
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic, patient-centered care
