About The Position

The Assistant Director of Residential Services at TERI plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of residential group homes. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, individualized care for adults with developmental disabilities while supervising, training, and supporting a team of dedicated staff. The Assistant Director of Residential Services is responsible for program oversight, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, staff development, and direct client care when needed. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Human Services, Psychology, Social Work).
  • 1+ years of direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • 1+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a residential or care setting
  • Ability to obtain a Class B Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable DMV record.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral support techniques, Active Treatment programs, and residential care best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to team development and resident well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of residential group homes, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with all regulations.
  • Supervise, train, and support residential staff, including QIDPs, fostering professional growth and team collaboration.
  • Provide direct care and implement individualized Active Treatment programs for adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Coordinate and monitor individual service plans, assessments, and program effectiveness.
  • Manage staffing schedules, weekend activities, and facility operations to meet resident needs.
  • Collaborate with families, caseworkers, medical personnel, and community partners to support resident well-being.
