The job solves complex problems related to the development and implementation of executive and professional degree programming. The job uses best practices to accomplish work in other program/functions within the unit (student affairs, diversity affairs, conference center, etc.) with limited supervision. The Assistant Director of Training & Education is a strategic, student-centered leader responsible for coordinating the Independent Project curriculum within the MS in Biomedical Sciences (BMS) and for playing a central role in the relaunch and operations of new programs (i.e., MS in Threat & Response Management and the Master of Biomedical Informatics). This position balances high-level program strategy with hands-on operational delivery: student advising, mentor management, faculty support, recruitment support, curriculum logistics, and cross-unit coordination with the Pritzker School of Medicine and other partners. In addition, the Assistant Director will serve as a senior advisor to the UChicago Clinical Informatics Fellowship by supporting recruitment, application review, didactic rotation planning, and ongoing fellow support. The role requires close collaboration with students, faculty, clinical partners, and administrative teams to ensure smooth program delivery and strong learner outcomes.
