As the Assistant Front Desk Manager, you will assist and support the team to create a welcoming environment for all who come to our lobby, ensuring our guests’ experience is not just good, but GREAT! This salaried position supports the Front Office Manager in daily operations, team leadership, and guest service excellence. You’ll be a visible presence in the lobby, guiding the team, resolving guest concerns, and maintaining a smooth, welcoming environment throughout the day.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to perform Night Audit responsibilities as needed.
  • Flexible availability across all shifts (days, nights, overnights, weekends, holidays).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with OPERA is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are an advantage.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for up to six hours at a time.
  • Some college coursework is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience from check‑in to check‑out, ensuring every interaction is warm, efficient, and memorable.
  • Support front desk operations by managing daily activity in the lobby and assisting with guest inquiries, room assignments, and service recovery.
  • Train, mentor, and guide front desk associates to uphold service standards and foster a positive team culture.
  • Assist the Front Office Manager with scheduling, hiring, performance management, payroll, inventory, and shift coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with housekeeping, engineering, security, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and consistently high-quality guest experience.
  • Provide coverage for last‑minute staffing needs, including call‑outs or unexpected operational challenges.
  • Work a flexible schedule that may include nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Extra hours may occasionally be required.
