AHS Assistant Golf Coach
About The Position
Abilene High School is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Golf Coach. This is a 1 year positiion that will begin immediately for this spring 2026 golf season. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assisting the head coach in teaching the fundamental physical skills of the sport. Helping players make consistent improvement in their personal game. Teaching and reinforcing the etiquette and integrity expected in the sport of golf. Assisting with the organization and supervision of daily practices. Supporting communication of expectations and pertinent information with players, parents, and course officials. Assisting with supervision of student-athletes during practices and competitions. Traveling with and helping supervise athletes at scheduled meets. Abiding by all school, district, and Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) guidelines and policies. Demonstrating passion for the sport and helping promote golf as a lifelong activity. Encouraging athletes and helping inform them of opportunities for improvement outside of the season.
