About The Position

Under supervision from the Golf Operations Superintendent provides technical and managerial supervision of facilities and staff as outlined. Assists in promoting golf activities by assisting in the organization of daily play and tournaments. Performs other golf related duties related to operations as needed and directed. This position will be required to work shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather. This position is considered weather essential personnel.

Requirements

Must have excellent customer service skills, be friendly and personable.
Knowledge of USGA rules, handicap, course rating system and the mechanics of the golf swing.
Knowledge of golfing rules and regulations.
Knowledge and understanding of typical golf course procedures.
Fully knowledgeable of all opening and closeout procedures.
Computer proficiencies with common Microsoft applications.
Maintains playing ability and works to stay competent in all areas of their games.

Responsibilities

Assists in managing facility and staff.
Understands complete operation of counter operation, pro shop and deli.
Assist in supervision and training of operations staff.
Ensures proper registration of golfers; correct playing start to include handling reservations and starting times.
Assist in providing golf instruction for camps and clinics.
Provides and interprets golf policies, rules and regulations.
Assists in the coordination and implementation of tournaments and outings.
Assists with updating and maintaining the golf web site.
Performs all golf operation duties as needed to include counter, pro shop, deli, carts and janitorial.
Assist in maintaining an attractive, orderly appearance in and around the pro shop, practice facilities and other golf related area to create a clean high quality environment.
Interprets and enforces Golf Complex rules and regulations.
Ensures that all staff are presentable, well groomed and in appropriate attire at all times.
Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe working environment with emphasis on promoting employee health and safety.
Follows directives and completes assignments with a minimum of supervision.
Performs all work according to established procedures.
