About The Position

Under general supervision, monitors and guides trainee performance. Employees in this job will train TEAM members to learn safest practices, best production techniques, and to understand quality control, while interacting with management on a regular basis. This job requires knowledge of the process workflow and production in the locations manufacturing environment. Job Description: Constant presence on production floor to train and assist Trainees Focus on Safety (all PPE worn properly), TM morale, TM concerns Orientation Class: Introduce yourself to new Trainees and allow them to introduce themselves, review JSA’s for department Trainee will be working, ask and listen how work went the previous workday Ensure you voice Trainees concerns to the Training Specialist Perform Safety Pledge with each Trainee Perform New Hire Stretches with New Hires prior to floor time Complete the Trainee Tracking Form for each Trainee Maintain respect and trust from all levels of team members Maintain a Positive attitude Attend Team Meeting with Training Specialist and fellow Floor Trainers and Orientation Trainer(s). Trainee Tracking Form qualifications are to be based on the Qualification Guidelines for the Trainee’s position(s) for quality/yield and speed for the week of reporting.

Requirements

  • If you are hired into an assistant hourly trainer position, you must stay below 10 points to maintain this role.
  • Employee must have completed at least 6 months of employment
  • Bidder cannot have over 6 points to be considered for this position.
  • Must not have a Written Warning within 6 months of bid date.
  • Employee must not have any safety violations
  • Employee must be able to perform the duties of the position requested
  • Employee must be a positive example for new team members
  • Employee must be able to teach others
  • Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • If you are selected for this position and choose to decline, you will be ineligible to apply for another position for six months. Similarly, if you accept the position, you will not be eligible for lateral moves or positions with lower pay for six months; only promotions will be considered.
