About The Position

The Assistant Manager - IT Applications position is primarily responsible for full-stack Java development, including database integration, and works closely with business teams to analyze processes and information needs. Requirements

  • Experience in the development and writing of detailed, actionable requirements and functional specifications Required
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills Required
  • 5+ years of hands-on end to end IT systems development or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills: must be able to effectively convey and document designs and processes Required
  • DB Programming Experience (PL/SQL or T-SQL) Required
  • Java, .NET, C#, Javascript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, DOM, Git/SVN Required
  • Ability to manage all aspect/stages of software development life cycle (Agile environment) Required
  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • 6 - 9 Years of Direct Experience in Information Technology Required
  • 1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required
  • Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
  • Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing

Responsibilities

  • Application Development & Operations
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack Java applications and database components
  • Troubleshoot production issues and manage end-to-end resolution
  • Conduct testing, validation, and document system changes
  • Improve existing systems and support new feature implementations
  • Business Requirements & Process Support
  • Work with business teams to analyze requirements and define project scope
  • Produce clear specifications and process documentation
  • Communicate progress, issues, and solutions to stakeholders
  • Support planning and coordination for complex or multi-solution projects
  • SaaS & IT Operations
  • Manage SaaS applications, including configuration, troubleshooting, and user support
  • Serve as the primary IT contact for subsidiaries
  • Provide general IT operations support when needed
  • IT Governance & Vendor Coordination
  • Enforce IT security policies and manage change-management processes
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
  • User & Documentation Support
  • Train users on new or updated system functionality
  • Generate or update requested data
  • Maintain accurate and consistent system and functional documentation
  • Provide documentation that supports business operations
