About The Position

Hard Truth Distillery seeks a passionate, creative, and driven individual to join our team as the Assistant Manager for the Tour & Tasting Center. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, has a deep appreciation for whiskey and mixology, and excels in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Assistant Manager will assist in leading our team, creating memorable whiskey tours and tastings, and ensuring that every visitor leaves with a deeper connection to our brand.

Requirements

• Passion for whiskey and mixology with experience in the whiskey or spirits industry strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to think creatively and implement unique ideas to enhance guest experiences.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for storytelling and engaging audiences.
• Background in hospitality, event management, or customer service is a must.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physically capable of leading tours, working on your feet for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, guest-facing role with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a whiskey ambassador, sharing in-depth knowledge about the whiskey-making process, Hard Truth’s portfolio, and the history of distillation.
• Conduct engaging, educational, and entertaining whiskey tastings and tours.
• Collaborate with the team to develop innovative ways to showcase Hard Truth’s products, including mixology demonstrations and themed events.
• Design and implement unique, outside-the-box tour and tasting experiences that set Hard Truth apart.
• Work with the team to create themed events, seasonal promotions, and VIP experiences.
• Continuously find ways to elevate the entertainment value of tours and tastings while maintaining authenticity and professionalism.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring team members to ensure they embody the Hard Truth brand and hospitality standards.
• Lead by example, fostering a culture of initiative, creativity, and exceptional customer service.
• Provide feedback and coaching to staff to enhance their whiskey knowledge and guest engagement skills.
• Support the scheduling and coordination of tours, tastings, and private events.
• Monitor inventory of spirits, glassware, and merchandise, ensuring stock is maintained and well-organized.
• Collaborate with the management team to drive sales initiatives and achieve revenue goals.
• Track guest feedback, sales trends, and tour participation to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Act as a key point of contact for guests, ensuring every interaction is memorable and positive.
• Respond to guest inquiries, resolve issues, and accommodate special requests with professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and community engagements as needed.
