About The Position

The Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager (ACM) will be responsible and accountable for over-seeing the patient care delivery and workflow of a designated Care Unit. Directly supervises RN’s, Clinical Associates, department Technicians, Unit Assistants, and Support Staff in all aspects, including hiring/firing, performance evaluation and management, mentoring, scheduling and addressing employee relations. Duties also include completing daily or shift specific quality audits and visibility boards, facilitating daily huddles with staff, leading staff/quality meetings, delivering quality patient-centered care in a fiscally responsible manner, and rounding with patients and families.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience in the area they are applying.
  • Minimum one (1) year of Charge nurse experience with demonstrated leadership skills preferred and/or equivalent experience.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Active Registered Nursing Licensure (RN)
  • Basic Life Supports (BLS)
  • Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS).
  • Specialty Certification (ANCC) within 2 years of hire
  • Demonstrated strength in building and articulating a vision and setting goals.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills to understand and anticipate the impact and opportunities across multiple critical projects.
  • Ability to build and establish positive relationships.
  • Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access.
  • Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction.

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ of leadership experience managing in the healthcare industry.
  • Four years experience in clinical specialty.
  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited school or Master's degree in healthcare-related field.
