About The Position
The department of Health, Kinesiology, Imaging & Psychological Sciences at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as either an Assistant OR Associate Professor, Kinesiology. The anticipated start date is August 10, 2026. Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town, nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. Requirements
- Doctorate in Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science or related field.
- ABDs with imminent completion will be considered.
- Evidence of involvement in professional organizations and associations.
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated successful college teaching experience.
- Evidence of scholarly work, preferably in Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science.
- Membership and/or certifications with the American College of Sports Medicine and/or the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Responsibilities
- Primarily teach undergraduate courses in Exercise Science as well as graduate courses in the Wellness Promotion program.
- Serve as a faculty advisor for undergraduate and graduate students.
- Participate in scholarly work such as research, publications, and grant writing.
- The individual will also be expected to participate in university and community service.
