About The Position

The Assistant Pickleball Professional supports the development and daily delivery of the club’s pickleball programming. This role provides high-quality on-court instruction, assists event operations, and ensures a welcoming, positive experience for members and guests. The ideal candidate is energetic, personable, organized, and passionate about growing the sport in a community-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable pickleball player with professional teaching background preferred.
  • RSPA, PPR or IPTPA certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and member-service orientation.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and high-demand pickleball seasons.
  • Ability to teach and move actively on the court for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment such as ball carts and teaching gear.

Responsibilities

  • Teach private and semi-private lessons for adults and juniors at all playing levels.
  • Assist in group clinics, beginner programs, and events.
  • Provide player development guidance, skill progression support, and match-play strategy training
  • Encourage player engagement, retention, and transition from beginner to intermediate programming.
  • Create a welcoming, encouraging on-court environment.
  • Communicate clearly with members regarding program schedules, lesson availability, and upcoming events.
  • Represent the pickleball department in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
