About The Position

As an Assistant Principal of Student Services at Ednovate, you will be responsible for ensuring student engagement and success through comprehensive programming, advisory leadership, and meaningful external partnerships. You will work closely with school leadership, teachers, students, families, and community partners. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong program management and relationship-building skills looking to create positive multigenerational change in a collaborative, results-oriented environment. This is a full-time, exempt role that reports to the school Principal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree, required
  • A California Administrative Credential, Single Subject Teaching Credential or Out of State Teaching Credential, preferred; clear path to receiving a teaching credential within a year, required
  • 2+ years of school leadership experience with a strong track record of improving student outcomes in academics, culture, and engagement, required

Responsibilities

  • Be a student services leader . Serve as a member of the administrative team by attending all required meetings, covering teammates in their absence, and modeling exemplary teamwork and culture.
  • Lead and develop grade-level leads and advisory teams through regular coaching and targeted professional development.
  • Drive the school's advisory program by developing curriculum, supporting implementation, and ensuring effective integration of social-emotional learning and college/career readiness.
  • Facilitate data-informed decision making by analyzing student experience data, conducting accountability conversations, and managing student scheduling to align with school-wide goals.
  • Create a strong student life culture . Oversee comprehensive student engagement initiatives including clubs, extracurriculars, student government, town halls, and special events that foster school community and belonging.
  • Lead Senior Capstone initiatives to enhance real-world connections and passion exploration.
  • Coordinate enriching off-campus learning experiences through field trips, guest speakers, and career exploration opportunities to broaden student perspectives and deepen their engagement with the curriculum and community.
  • Drive student community engagement through community service by disseminating opportunities, tracking and responding to data, and helping students discover paths that align with their existing passions or inspire new ones.
  • Cultivate partnerships . Foster strong family engagement through regular communication, newsletters, and coordinating report card pickup conferences with a goal of 95% parent/guardian attendance.
  • Develop and manage external partnerships to enhance student learning through internships, community service, and guest speaker opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for student-service partners while supporting academic programming by identifying and implementing off-campus learning opportunities with external partners, ensuring all initiatives align with the school's mission and instructional goals.
