About The Position

Shared Instructional Vision: Support a vision of excellence for all students, with an urgency to maximize every opportunity necessary to achieve ambitious student outcomes Student Learning: Oversee the school's learning program, including the development and execution of an Annual scope and Sequence for each grade level, collaborating with school leaders on curricular decisions, and implementing a strong, fully integrated program for students with special needs and English learners Data & Results: Collect, organize, and facilitate the interpretation and analysis of achievement data to guide instructional decision-making and individual student case management. Actively monitor student achievement outcomes and establish systems to ensure multiple data sources are regularly informing instructional programs Intervention & Support Services: Design and implement student intervention plans, in collaboration with teachers and the leadership team, to ensure students reach and exceed grade level standards Adult Learning & Oversight: Lead the school's professional development and evaluation systems, including developing an Annual professional development plan which includes weekly, quarterly, and annual staff training and onboarding, coaching, and evaluating instructional staff Innovation: Develop and execute innovative strategies to ensure every student is receiving a world-class education Administration: Manage master scheduling, Special Ed and EL Compliance, Testing and Campus supervision Other leadership responsibilities, as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least five years of classroom teaching experience with strong student achievement outcomes
  • Successful school leadership experience, such as mentor, coach, or administrative role
  • Graduated from a recognized college or university with a master's level or higher degree preferred
  • A valid California Administrative Services credential is preferred
  • Passion for working with traditionally underserved communities in high-performance settings
  • Entrepreneurial spirit capable of managing many complex tasks with competing priorities
  • Strong execution and leadership abilities, including setting a vision, conflict management, team building, mentoring and coaching, goal-setting, prioritization, and strategic planning
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, orally and in writing
  • Organized and self-managed, able to handle many responsibilities simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solver
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-reflective leader who is committed to ongoing learning and growth
