Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design invites applications for the position of full-time Assistant Professor of Interior Design. This is a non-tenure track position. The Interior Design on-campus and on-line programs are CIDA accredited. The program is unique to many, providing an emphasis in Sustainable Design. The interior design B.F.A. program challenges creative students to become innovative designers capable of critical thinking and effective communication within the context of global design practice. The program is seeing a growth in student enrollment in each eight-week term, which operates year round. At RMCAD, interior design students learn to apply historical, cultural, theoretical and aesthetic concepts in combination with technical and practical expertise in designing spaces and user experiences that add to the health, safety, welfare and value to the built environment. Students participate in an internship in their senior year and graduates have been successful finding employment after completing the program. Courses range from Survey of Interior Design, Introduction to Sustainable Design, Design Process and Planning, CAD, Advanced Revit, Residential Design, Sketchup, Special Use Design, Design Research, and Construction Documents.
