Assistant Professor of Library and Information Science (Archives/Special Collections) Minimum Qualifications A MLIS or equivalent degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent. At least 2 Years Professional experience in archival or related settings. Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service, particularly in adapting instruction for archival/preservation/special collections hands on techniques for online courses. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate (PhD or equivalent) in either Library and Information Science or a field appropriate to work in Archives/Special Collections such as History, Art, Archival Studies, Museum Studies, etc. Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in archives and digital preservation. Has experience with best practices for archival equity and activism related to inclusive and reparative practices that reflects St. Catherines’ vision and mission. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and scholarship.
