About The Position

Faculty in the Department of Pathology are appointed at a rank commensurate with training, experience, and academic achievements. Appointment to a specific faculty pathway is determined by the Division Director and Department Chair and recommended through the established JFR and faculty appointment process. Faculty are expected to promote academic excellence, contribute to patient care (as applicable), pursue research and translational initiatives, and advance the health and wellness of Arkansans.

Requirements

Relevant terminal degree (MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent) appropriate to discipline
Board certification or eligibility (as applicable to specialty)
Demonstrated expertise and specialized experience in area of focus
Academic and/or scholarly credentials consistent with faculty rank

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care consistent with specialty and departmental standards (as applicable)
Participate in medical student, resident, and/or fellow education
Engage in scholarly activities, research initiatives, and academic collaborations
Promote translational research opportunities when applicable
Support community outreach and service initiatives
Maintain coordination, continuity, and consistency across patient care, research, and instructional activities
Comply with institutional policies and uphold a culture of dignity and respect
Other duties as assigned.
