About The Position

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Assistant Program Director to support daily operations and staff oversight at our 12th Street location. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone experienced in mental health services, supervision, and residential program operations. Position may be eligible sign on bonus

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Associate’s degree with supervisory experience accepted
  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the mental health field required
  • Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid and clean New York State Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Supervise residential staff, including scheduling, approving timecards, and managing time-off requests.
  • Provide direct coaching and annual performance evaluations for overnight staff.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure quality care, safety, and compliance.
  • Provide transportation to participants to and from appointments.
  • Oversee medication room, including inventory and storage protocols.
  • Monitor maintenance needs; complete and track maintenance work orders.
  • Ensure staff receive adequate training and ongoing support.
  • Coordinate staff schedules in collaboration with the Program Director; arrange coverage with respite staff when needed.
  • Follow agency policies and procedures as outlined in the Procedure Manual.
  • Maintain and update the CR/TAS on-call manager documentation.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for crisis response.
  • Carry a caseload as needed, supporting program needs and continuity of care.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and respectful environment for staff and residents.
