Assistant Property Manager - Apartment Community
About The Position

City Limits Apartments is seeking a driven, organized, and resident-focused Assistant Property Manager (APM) to support daily operations and help maintain a thriving apartment community. If you have leasing experience, understand renewals and collections, and take pride in delivering exceptional resident service — we want to hear from you. As Assistant Property Manager, you’ll work closely with the Property Manager to ensure efficient operations, strong occupancy, and excellent resident satisfaction.
Requirements
- 1+ year of multifamily property management experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Yardi and MS Suite experience preferred
- Strong leasing, renewal, and rent collection knowledge
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal housing laws
- Proficiency in property management software
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (Spanish and/or Somali) is a PLUS
Responsibilities
- Drive leasing activity to maintain market-level occupancy
- Capture renewals at the highest possible rate
- Support and mentor leasing consultants as needed
- Step in to manage leasing when the Property Manager is absent
- Assist with rent collections and delinquency tracking
- Generate renewal and operational reports
- Maintain organized resident and property files in compliance with legal guidelines
- Order and manage office supply inventory
- Build and maintain a strong resident relations program
- Respond promptly to resident concerns and service requests
- Promote positive customer service standards across the team
- Ensure adherence to company policies and fair housing guidelines
- Assist with marketing oversight to ensure listings are accurate and effective
- Assume operational responsibility in the absence of the Property Manager
