About The Position

Are you an experienced multifamily professional ready to grow your career in property management? City Limits Apartments is seeking a driven, organized, and resident-focused Assistant Property Manager (APM) to support daily operations and help maintain a thriving apartment community. If you have leasing experience, understand renewals and collections, and take pride in delivering exceptional resident service — we want to hear from you. As Assistant Property Manager, you’ll work closely with the Property Manager to ensure efficient operations, strong occupancy, and excellent resident satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of multifamily property management experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Yardi and MS Suite experience preferred
  • Strong leasing, renewal, and rent collection knowledge
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal housing laws
  • Proficiency in property management software
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish and/or Somali) is a PLUS

Responsibilities

  • Drive leasing activity to maintain market-level occupancy
  • Capture renewals at the highest possible rate
  • Support and mentor leasing consultants as needed
  • Step in to manage leasing when the Property Manager is absent
  • Assist with rent collections and delinquency tracking
  • Generate renewal and operational reports
  • Maintain organized resident and property files in compliance with legal guidelines
  • Order and manage office supply inventory
  • Build and maintain a strong resident relations program
  • Respond promptly to resident concerns and service requests
  • Promote positive customer service standards across the team
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and fair housing guidelines
  • Assist with marketing oversight to ensure listings are accurate and effective
  • Assume operational responsibility in the absence of the Property Manager
