About The Position

The Assistant Retail Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the Carmel’s golf shop by delivering an elevated, highly personalized retail experience for members and their guests. This role works closely with the Retail Manager to ensure exceptional service standards, aesthetically pleasing merchandising, and efficient retail operations.

Requirements

  • Preferred at least 1 year of experience in luxury retail, hospitality, or private club environment
  • Strong service instincts with a polished, professional presence
  • Proficiency with POS systems and retail inventory management
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and key club events

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized and anticipatory service to members and guests
  • Develop familiarity with member preferences to provide tailored product recommendations
  • Handle special orders, gifting needs, and member requests with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Assist with receiving, tagging, and presentation of merchandise
  • Conduct regular display changes to ensure shop has a regular “refreshed” appearance
  • Monitor inventory levels & support regular physical inventories and reconciliation processes
  • Provide informed input on product selection based on sales performance and member demand to the Retail Manager
  • Support daily golf shop operations as needed.
  • Ensure sales transactions and member charges are processed accurately and professionally
  • Maintain an impeccably organized, visually refined retail environment
  • Assist in executing seasonal merchandising plans and product launches
  • Assist with sales reporting and operational documentation
  • Support tournaments, member events, and special club initiatives as needed
  • Collaborate with the golf professional team to ensure seamless member experiences
