Assistant Teaching Professor or Assistant Lecturer in Statistics to teach primarily undergraduate courses in statistics; provide academic advising; and contribute to professional and institutional service. Based on performance, this position is eligible for subsequent reappointment with the possibility of promotion that includes longer-term, continuing contracts. The position will begin August 2026. Among other duties, the individual hired into this position will contribute meaningfully to updating and revising undergraduate service courses that have multiple sections, multiple modalities, and serve students of varying majors within the broad university community. We are committed to having progressive teaching methodologies, effective pedagogy, and a supportive student-focused environment. The successful candidate should demonstrate the potential for excellent teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate level. The typical teaching load for this position is 24 semester credit hours per year, with approximately 80% of the workload dedicated to teaching and approximately 20% devoted to service. Research and /or scholarship is not an aspect of this position description and will not be part of the effort assigned to the successful candidate.
