About The Position

The AVP of Distribution & Logistics is an enterprise executive leadership role with systemwide accountability for distribution, logistics, and supply chain execution across all clinical and nonclinical locations. Reporting to the VP / Chief Supply Chain Officer (or equivalent senior supply chain executive), this role provides strategic, financial, and operational leadership for all distribution and logistics activities supporting Intermountain Health. The AVP has end to end accountability for distribution operations, logistics strategy, channel strategy, planning and forecasting, and technology and automation, ensuring reliable supply, optimal cost, and scalable infrastructure to support current and future system growth. The role oversees all Supply Chain Center (SCC) operations, including distribution, warehousing, inventory management, associated facility operations and sets strategy for Intermountain’s supplier distribution strategy. In addition, the AVP of Distribution and Logistics serves as the executive owner of the system’s self-distribution and logistics operating model. The AVP partners closely with executive leaders across clinical operations, finance, procurement, and digital technology to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy, capital planning, and financial objectives. This role is preferably based within the Intermountain market areas (Utah – preferably in the Salt Lake area, ID, NV, MT or CO) to strengthen collaboration, visibility, and alignment with enterprise initiatives. We may consider a remote model with extensive travel required. Along with offering a chance to work in a stable, strong, mission-based environment, this role provides the opportunity to experience the Mountain West’s diverse culture and incredible landscapes. You’ll be able to explore abundant outdoor recreational opportunities, including skiing, hiking, and fishing, as well as stunning national parks and forests, all within hours of where you’ll call home. Becoming a part of the Intermountain team means gaining a family and finding a place to plant your roots. Benefits are one of the ways we encourage health for you and your family. Our generous package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage. But health is more than a well-working body: it encompasses body, mind, and spiritual well-being. To that end, we’ve launched a Healthy Living program to address your holistic health. Healthy Living includes financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling, and paid time off. We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning. With this position, you are eligible to participate in an annual pay-for-performance opportunity (“AP4P”). This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected Intermountain Health Board-approved goals. The correct salary for this role is $264,000 - $290,700 annually and as determined by years of prior relevant experience.
