The Associate Product Manager (Merchandising) will be responsible for the support of the assigned categories. This person will be charged for the product set up and management of category; both hardgoods and apparel. They will promote the agreed upon product strategy and ensure all items are loaded correctly to appropriate systems. They will provide product information to cross-functional teams.

  • Assist Merchandising in data collection
  • Create and manage information needed for style set up
  • Maintain and update system data, pricing, status, plant movement
  • Coordinate with Planners to analyze buying patterns and predict future trends to create an accurate forecast
  • Liaison to Vendor to ensure all Merchandising expectations are met; assist Buying Team with Vendor communication when needed on POs, Product Info, Expedites and Sales Team inquiries
  • Product Presentations internally and externally to all Cross Functional Teams, including Sales; maintaining a clean line for demonstration purposes
  • Ensure PID manager is updated and correct for all styles
  • Responsible for catalog content (copy and photography)
  • Build assortment guides and communication tools that marketing can use to build out their promotional plan
  • Order and maintain samples for all styles needed for photos shoots, presentation and forecasting evaluations
  • Help initiate Sales Pro sample requests, owner of Sample Room
  • Large contribution to Annual Sales Meeting activities, as needed
  • Assist other functional areas when there are product questions
  • Measure garments vs specifications (when needed)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Project management/communication experience
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Creativity with an eye for detail and technical savvy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and SAP
  • At least 2 years in product merchandising or comparable years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
