About The Position

This position is responsible for auditing and analyzing documentation and records related to gas facilities and associated work processes across all Eversource Gas service territories. The QC Specialist (Data/Records) ensures records are complete, accurate, retrievable and compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements. This role supports continuous improvement efforts and collaborates with cross-functional teams to promote data integrity and operational excellence. Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform thorough audits.
  • Proficient in electronic document management systems and databases (e.g. DocuWare, Maximo, Power App).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to gas operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with various levels of personnel
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Must be capable of analyzing technical data/records
  • Associate’s degree in business, related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Zero (0) to three (3) years of experience in gas distribution, utility or technical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for auditing physical records held locally in Area Work Centers (AWCs) to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance
  • Verifies electronic records across systems such as DocuWare, Maximo, and Power App, comparing them to backup paper forms to identify discrepancies.
  • Responsible for maintaining an inventory of all company forms and government reporting forms, ensuring accurate documentation and easy accessibility.
  • Monitors version control and Management of Change (MOC) processes to ensure consistent and compliant recordkeeping practices.
  • Performs automated exception reporting to identify mismatched conditions for resolution.
  • Responsible for publishing regular reports of Quality Control findings for review by Operations and Engineering management.
  • Collaborates with Policy & Compliance, Technology Projects, Asset Management, and Operations Performance teams to streamline documentation efforts and promote data integrity.
  • Supports the development and implementation of documentation standards and procedures to meet internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors trends and opportunities for improvement in records management and quality assurance processes.
