Associate Attorney - Workers' Compensation

About The Position

We are currently seeking lateral associate attorneys with a minimum of 3 years experience practicing workers’ compensation defense litigation, to join our Workers' Compensation team in Columbia. The job responsibilities of this position include:
Performing legal analysis on new and existing claims to develop a case strategy
Maintaining regular communication with clients
Reviewing and analyzing medical records
Drafting of pleadings and responding to discovery
Taking depositions and attending mediations
Attending hearings before the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in Workers' Compensation Defense Litigation required
• Currently licensed in State of South Carolina
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, have strong research, writing and verbal communication skills, and be able to work independently with the support of Partners and staff.
