About The Position

The Associate Broker plays a key role in supporting the placement, analysis, and servicing of complex insurance programs. Based in Dallas in a hybrid work environment, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, collaborating across teams, and building relationships within the insurance marketplace. You’ll contribute to both client service and business development efforts while developing the technical expertise needed to advance in a brokerage career.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in insurance, brokerage, risk management, or a data driven analytical role (internships included)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret loss data, identify trends, and communicate insights
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, especially when managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools; experience with analytics platforms is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare presentations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, carriers, wholesalers, and clients

Responsibilities

  • Analysis and Data Management: Analyze insurance data and loss history to identify risks and potential improvements.
  • Data Summarization: Create loss runs, loss stratifications, and loss analysis.
  • Analytics: Assist in building an analytics platform, which would include entering pertinent data into systems.
  • Policy Support: Assist with insurance program administration, including renewals, managing endorsements, and policy checks.
  • Compliance and Contracts: Review contracts for insurance requirements.
  • Presentations: Prepare renewal strategy meeting and renewal proposal presentations.
  • Business Development: Assist in new business development by researching prospects and helping develop RFP deliverables.
  • Collaboration: Work with teams to implement cost-effective insurance solutions and provide expertise on various insurance matters.
  • Relationships: Develop relationships with key insurance markets, wholesalers, and clients.
  • Pursue and attain recognized industry designation, such as CIC, ARM, or CPCU.
