About The Position

Berkeley Research Group (BRG) Corporate Finance provides strategic, operational, and financial advisory services to private equity firms, management teams, boards of directors, lenders, and investors facing complex business and performance challenges. Our professionals work as hands-on partners to help stabilize operations, improve liquidity, and maximize value for stakeholders. The Corporate Finance platform includes Turnaround & Restructuring, Transaction Advisory, Finance Excellence, Private Equity Portfolio Company Services, and Valuation & Opinions. Our teams bring deep experience across a wide range of industries, including retail, consumer products, healthcare, energy, financial services, and technology. Associates in BRG’s Turnaround & Restructuring practice are core members of small, collaborative teams working on high-impact engagements for underperforming or distressed companies. Associates support financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, restructuring initiatives, and strategic decision-making while gaining exposure to senior executives, lenders, and investors. This role offers significant responsibility, client interaction, and professional growth in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in consulting, corporate finance, restructuring, or professional services
  • Strong Excel-based financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into insights and recommendations
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% as needed

Responsibilities

  • Build and analyze 3-statement financial models, 13-week cash flow forecasts, and scenario analyses
  • Support client deliverables including presentations, reports, and written analyses
  • Collaborate with BRG professionals and client stakeholders to execute engagement objectives
  • Assist with business development, proposals, and practice-building initiatives
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and quality
