Position Overview The SPAR Data Monitoring (“SPAR DM”) Associate will work as part of the SPAR DM team and is expected to perform the Fundamental Core Responsibilities described below. The Associate will work closely with SPAR DM Leadership and other Enterprise Services Teams to support the StepStone private market data universe, client deliverables, and provide analytical support to the SPAR DM leadership. The performance of a SPAR DM Associate will be judged on an absolute scale based on the below as well as a relative scale compared to other Associates. Fundamental Core Responsibilities: The Associate possesses a proven operational ownership mindset and acts with top‐level professionalism across all assigned and unassigned activities. Increasing levels of technical skills and operational awareness, an increasing level of Strategic awareness and participation, and highly impactful effectiveness that maintains goals and targets of operations. Will lead and manage hourly and/or full-time team members. Will serve as an operational manager providing daily guidance and instruction to potentially hourly and full-time team members. Serve as dotted-line manager for full time team members. Will lead and execute the ingestion and review of asset level (investment level) reporting from GP-provided materials into internal systems. The associate will master the quarterly reporting cycle and investment-level schedules. Utilize and further optimize existing tools sets and processes to support collection of asset level reporting data. Implement data quality checks, validations, and anomaly detection to ensure accuracy and consistency of information systems data. Develop, build, and monitor systems designed to address risks within the systems. Will lead and maintain executive and expansionary efforts which may include GP outreach campaigns, Op metrics, risk management, data base management, and reporting tool generation. Technical skills including fundamental/intermediate level fluency with excel, Power BI, DAX, Excel Power Query Editor, SQL and PowerPoint. The Associate possesses a proven “ownership” mindset and acts with top‐level professionalism across all assigned and unassigned department activities. Contributes to the overall success of SPAR private markets data universe (Cashflows; NAV/Recon; Asset level).
