About The Position

To provide administrative leadership and coordination for key programs and initiatives in Honors education. Oversee a portfolio of responsibilities that may include admissions and recruitment, student engagement programs, and academic support services. Responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of programs that enhance the Honors student experience and contribute to the strategic goals of the unit. Reports to designated supervisor.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in higher education administration, student affairs, or a related field.
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in a higher education setting, with a focus on program coordination, student advising, or admissions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for Honors education admissions processes, including application review, selection, and yield initiatives.
  • Coordinate and represent Honors education programs at recruitment events, both on and off campus, to attract a diverse and talented pool of prospective students.
  • Develop and manage student engagement programs, such as the Honors Leadership Academy, Peer Mentoring, and Living-Learning Communities, to foster a vibrant and supportive community.
  • Collaborate with communications and marketing leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive communication plan for prospective and current students.
  • May provide functional guidance to other unclassified staff.
  • Supervise and mentor graduate assistants and student staff who support Honors education programs.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of major events, including orientation, recognition ceremonies, and alumni gatherings.
  • Serve as a liaison to other university departments and offices to facilitate collaboration and support for Honors students.
  • Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and make data-informed recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Assist the Dean and Associate Dean with strategic planning and policy development.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
