About The Position

PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our ICMS Team as the Associate Director of Programs, working out of our main office in Los Angeles, California. Since its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing. Our Supportive Housing Services (SHS) programs provide Intensive Case Management Services (ICMS) in a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) setting to individuals who have experienced homelessness and have a history of chronic health, mental health, and/or co-occurring conditions. Services are centralized and provided to clients living on-site to ensure ease of access to the resources necessary for long-term housing stabilization, improving their quality of life and community integration. As part of the Interim Housing Team, the Associate Director works under the supervision of the director to oversee programmatic operations. They will lead, direct, and supervise program managers, team supervisors, and direct service staff.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of experience in healthcare, case management, homeless services or working with vulnerable populations.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience in homeless services or related social services field
  • Have employment eligibility verification
  • Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
  • Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire: Tuberculosis Test, Background Screening, Drug Test
  • Have reliable transportation
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
  • The ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage

Nice To Haves

  • Six (6) years of experience in healthcare, case management, homeless services or working with vulnerable populations.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience in homeless services or related social services field strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of the department director, oversee all aspects of program operations.
  • Provide direct supervision to program managers and team supervisors who oversee the teams.
  • Ensure adherence to funding source contracts and performance standards; prepare written reports on program activities as assigned and as required by funding sources.
  • Provide leadership that reflects organizations' mission, vision, and values to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure appropriate data collection and reporting as required by funders, government entities, and agency senior management.
  • Prepare progress and performance reports for internal and external communication.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning and scheduling/assigning ongoing workload assignments, setting and adjusting work to be accomplished by staff; adjusting program and project priorities; and preparing schedules for work completion.
