About The Position

The Associate Director of Admissions coordinates the strategic recruitment plan. This position supervises Admissions Counselors; coordinates cross‑departmental initiatives to improve student onboarding; serves as the College liaison for military and veteran services; oversees the admissions and matriculation processes for military/veteran applicants; and strengthens transfer pathways by serving as the College’s Transfer Coordinator. The Associate Director also develops reports aligned with strategic priorities, supports technological improvements to optimize admissions operations, and leads strategic communications efforts related to recruitment and enrollment.

Requirements

  • Incumbents must possess proven ability to effectively work with a diverse set of faculty, staff, and students.
  • They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong information technology literacy skills.
  • Incumbents are required to have demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in the following:
  • Masters degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in recruitment, admissions or related field
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, data analytics tools, and Student Information Systems
  • Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed
  • Onsite presence is essential to this role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and executes the Enrollment Services strategic recruitment plan to ensure alignment with institutional priorities and efficient use of resources.
  • Develops, analyzes, and reports on metrics related to recruitment, admissions, and strategic enrollment priorities to support data‑informed decision making.
  • Promotes operational efficiencies by identifying, implementing, and optimizing technological solutions, workflows, and systems that support recruitment and admissions processes.
  • Supervises Admissions Counselors; establishes annual performance goals aligned with departmental and College strategic plans.
  • Assigns, monitors, and evaluates workload to ensure performance benchmarks and service standards are consistently met.
  • Provides coaching, professional development, and support to staff to promote a high‑performing, student-centered team.
  • Coordinates and leads cross‑departmental meetings focused on strengthening recruitment, admissions, and onboarding processes.
  • Serves as liaison to System Office committees, statewide groups, and external partners on matters related to admissions, transfer policy, technology initiatives, and shared system processes.
  • Represents the Director of Admissions and Admissions on committees and working groups as assigned.
  • Serves as the College’s primary liaison for military and veteran admissions.
  • Initiates, maintains, and ensures compliance of Memoranda of Understanding (MOU’s) with military partners.
  • Assists with development of military‑friendly practices, policies, fees, and services following national best‑practice standards.
  • Develops and implements comprehensive recruitment, outreach, and relationship‑building plans for military and veteran populations.
  • Serves as the College’s Transfer Coordinator, ensuring accurate guidance on transfer pathways, articulation agreements, credit evaluation, academic policies, and degree requirements.
  • Cultivates and maintains partnerships with two‑year institutions and educational organizations to strengthen transfer pipelines.
  • Ensures transfer‑related communication materials, processes, and student information are accurate, accessible, and strategically aligned.
  • Plans, develops, and delivers workshops, presentations, and outreach events in corporate, community, and educational settings.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of marketing strategies and strategic communications that support recruitment and enrollment goals.
  • Participates in public‑facing promotional activities as needed.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with educational, corporate, military/veteran, and community partners to support recruitment pipelines.
  • Serves on College‑wide teams and committees as needed.
  • Maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of admissions, transfer, enrollment management, and veteran‑services best practices.
  • Performs additional duties related to enrollment operations as assigned.
