About The Position

BeOne continues to grow at a rapid pace with challenging and exciting opportunities for experienced professionals. When considering candidates, we look for scientific and business professionals who are highly motivated, collaborative, and most importantly, share our passionate interest in fighting cancer. General Description: BeOne continues to grow at a rapid pace, offering challenging and exciting opportunities for experienced professionals who want to make a meaningful impact. As a global, science-driven biopharmaceutical company, BeOne is committed to advancing innovative medicines through deep biological insight, rigorous translational science, and strong cross-functional collaboration. While oncology remains a core focus, BeOne is rapidly expanding its immunology and inflammation portfolio, with the goal of delivering transformative therapies for patients with serious autoimmune and immune-mediated diseases. We are seeking a highly experienced Associate Director with a strong background in Translational Research and Translational Medicine for Immunology (Autoimmune Disease Portfolio) to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a deep foundation in immunology, with demonstrated experience in autoimmune or immune-mediated diseases, and strong scientific insight into one or more therapeutic areas such as dermatology, rheumatology, nephrology, and/or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). In this role, you will serve as the clinical biomarker lead for selected immunology programs, accountable for the design and execution of mechanism-driven clinical biomarker strategies that inform patient selection, dose and regimen optimization, and key clinical decisions. You will provide translational and biomarker leadership across clinical development, contribute as a core member of development team, and help advance early- and late-stage programs through innovative biomarker and translational approaches.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in immunology or a related life science discipline, with 4+ years of industry experience in translational medicine, translational research, or clinical development support.
  • Strong background in immunology, with experience in autoimmune or immune-mediated diseases; exposure to dermatology, rheumatology, nephrology, and/or IBD is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience applying translational approaches to inform mechanism, dose, patient selection, or clinical strategy across early and/or late-stage programs.
  • Solid working knowledge of clinical biomarker science, with experience partnering with assay development and CDx teams.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional, matrixed environments and with external partners.
  • Strong scientific thinking, data interpretation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced development setting.
  • Proficiency with standard scientific and business software (e.g., MS Office); experience with GraphPad Prism for data visualization and figure generation; familiarity with clinical data review platforms, dashboards, and document management systems commonly used in drug development.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support clinical programs, external collaborations, and scientific meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the clinical biomarker lead for assigned immunology/autoimmune clinical programs and studies, serving as the primary biomarker contact for cross-functional study teams.
  • Develop and implement translational and clinical biomarker strategies to support clinical development, including pharmacodynamic and mechanism-related biomarkers, dose and regimen optimization, and patient stratification; contribute to CDx strategy where appropriate.
  • Interpret and communicate clinical biomarker data to support study execution and key program decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with assay development, CDx, clinical operations, and analytical teams to ensure biomarker approaches are fit-for-purpose and effectively implemented in clinical studies.
  • Lead biomarker-related content for clinical protocols and associated documents, in alignment with clinical objectives and regulatory expectations.
  • Coordinate external vendors and partners supporting biomarker and translational activities.
  • Identify translational and biomarker gaps and contribute to targeted research efforts to strengthen clinical hypotheses.
  • Apply immunology and autoimmune disease expertise to guide biomarker selection and interpretation across clinical programs.
  • Contribute to scientific publications and external communications in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
