About The Position

The Associate Director, US Value & Access will be a key member of the US Market Access team within the commercial organization, responsible for shaping and executing market access strategies and tactics that enable appropriate patient access while supporting sustainable growth. This role requires the ability to be both strategic and tactical, demonstrating strong leadership, project management and communication skills while delivering actionable and implementable insights, access resources and projects to communicate the burden of disease or health outcomes from treatment. This role reports to the Head of Market Access and Pricing North America and requires strong collaboration with Field Teams including Account Access Directors, Patient Access Liaisons, Key Account Managers and Field Medical Directors to ensure they are equipped to optimize customer engagement and enable patient access. This role will also work seamlessly across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, Compliance and Senior Leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, life sciences, health economics, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, MPH) strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in U.S. Market Access, Value & Access, Payer Marketing, or related roles with portion in small biotech
  • Demonstrated experience supporting U.S. value and access strategy and developing tools aimed at commercial and government payers including experience with pre-launch and launch activities in rare disease
  • Robust understanding of GTN and ability to identify implications of changing policies
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills, able to thrive in lean, high-growth environments
  • Excellent cross-functional collaborator, particularly with Marketing, Field teams, and Finance
  • Able to take complex ideas and challenges and simplify identifying practical solutions
  • Patient centric mindset to deliver impactful strategies, resources and tools across the access journey
  • Able to navigate complex situations and comfortable with ambiguity

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience launching in rare disease with limited resources
  • Experience in informing and managing execution of evidence plans to include supporting the development of protocols, studies and models
  • Solid understanding of implications of pricing and contracting scenarios on government price reporting
  • Strong working knowledge of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) to substantiate our product's value proposition to payers including familiarity with Systematic Literature Reviews, publication planning, understanding of how to use observational data, claims data, and patient-reported outcomes (PROs)

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of U.S. value and access strategies across commercial and government payers to ensure the brand strategy is executed flawlessly across the access continuum
  • Partner with Commercial and Medical to shape the US value proposition and core payer messaging, translating clinical data into payer-relevant points ensuring alignment between clinical, economic, and humanistic value stories and market access objectives
  • Lead the development and maintenance of payer-facing tools and resources with input from Account Access Directors to support shaping the quality of coverage. Tools and resources may include pre-approval information exchange presentation,  value proposition, payer disease awareness and education resources, and product education. AMCP dossier, budget impact tool etc.
  • Create and maintain educational materials for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and patient access liaisons to leverage that clarify product coverage, prior authorization criteria and patient support options
  • Create and maintain educational resources for patients that clarify coverage and prior authorization criteria, how to obtain therapy and financial literacy resources
  • Develop EHR tools to streamline workflows, disease education materials and access to therapy guidance leveraging EHR capabilities and enable efficient integration into care protocols
  • Lead payer segmentation and collaborate with Account Access Directors to develop messaging tailored to diverse payer audiences
  • Identify evidence gaps and collaborate to advance integrated value and evidence plan to shape coverage policy and reinforce value proposition
  • Manage the conduct of primary and secondary research to monitor the evolving US access environment, including policy changes, payer management trends, and customer insights, to identify, translate and educate the organization on access risks and mitigation strategies
  • Vendor management where appropriate is required
  • Provide insights and support development of affordability, pricing, and contracting actions. Perform analyses to inform implications to GTN and government pricing
  • Provide pricing and access input into US brand planning, forecasting, and scenario analyses, partnering with Finance and Insights/Analytics on gross‑to‑net assumptions
  • Track coverage and criteria performance
  • Analyze impact of access strategies on revenue, gross-to-net, and government pricing exposure
