This role is ideal for someone who is excited to learn how a legal department operates within a multi-state equipment dealership and wants broad exposure to a variety of topics, including general corporate matters, human resources, collections, vendor relationships, and real estate transactions. Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Current license to practice law in the State of Ohio or be currently licensed in another state, with the acquisition of an Ohio license within 12 months after hire date.
• Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills, research and problem-solving skills, and change management skills.
• Strong leadership skills, outstanding interpersonal skills, including a collaborative style and personal diplomacy.
• Exhibits a high level of motivation, team orientation, professionalism, and trustworthiness, and places a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.
• Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of experience handling HR matters.
• 2 years of broad commercial law experience at a law firm or in-house.

Responsibilities

• Filing documents with courts and administrative agencies.
• Drafting letters and memos to internal and external stakeholders.
• Drafting briefs and other court documents.
• Performing some administrative tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
