Assist in monitoring payroll processes and internal controls to ensure full compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Develop, update, and maintain detailed documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for payroll processes, system enhancements, and project initiatives. Train staff on established procedures, system functionality, and process changes, ensuring consistency and knowledge retention across the team. Troubleshoot and resolve day‑to‑day system issues, partnering with internal teams as needed to address employee payroll escalations. Collaborate closely with Finance, Treasury, HR and Accounting to ensure accurate payroll funding, reconciliations, and efficient end‑to‑end processing. Conduct testing for Oracle Time & Labor (OTL), Payroll, and other system enhancements or special projects. Manage month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation. Oversee payroll tax activities, including tax funding, reconciliations, review and analysis of tax notices, W‑2 and W‑2c processing, tax filings, and amendments. Prepare accurate, timely payroll reports for executive leadership and maintain comprehensive records of payroll transactions. Lead, mentor, and support payroll team members, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes knowledge sharing, accountability, and continuous improvement.
