This role plays a key part in enhancing efficiency, product quality, and operational safety across vehicle assembly operations. Must be willing to relocate to Warsaw, IN. Relocation assistance provided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a similar role within a production environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with process simulation tools, CAD software, or data analysis platforms.
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and interest in Lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of systems and strategies that improve efficiency and reduce production costs in general assembly.
  • Assist in designing, testing, and upgrading mechanical systems and processes to enhance throughput and product quality.
  • Perform process simulations, time studies, and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of quality standards for assembly operations.
  • Monitor and analyze process performance to ensure alignment with engineering specifications and quality requirements.
  • Apply best practices and innovative engineering solutions to improve reliability and manufacturability.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to production teams and collaborate with senior engineers on process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and process-related issues within the assembly line.
  • Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and product engineering teams to integrate new processes and equipment.
  • Ensure all processes comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in developing and updating safety procedures for equipment and material handling.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes, work instructions, and engineering changes.
  • Prepare reports and present findings, recommendations, and improvement results to engineering leadership.
